Group Officer – Edward Ellison DOMENEY
Edward Ellison DOMENEY joined the Channel Rural Fire
Brigade as a volunteer fire-fighter in January 1969. At this time shortly after the disastrous Black
Tuesday fires he was actively involved in the development of the Channel
Brigade and the establishment of the Middleton Rural Fire Brigade.
- He
was appointed Brigade Chief of the Channel Brigade in 1988, a position he
held for three years.
- In
1989 he was appointed Deputy Group Officer for the Kingsborough Group of
Brigades.
- In
1994 he was appointed to his current position as Group Officer for the
D’entrecasteaux Group.
- He
has been a Fire Permit Officer since 1988.
- He
was awarded his National medal in 1984.
- Ted’s
involvement in the development of the volunteer brigades in the
Kingsborough area has been exemplary.
He has had key involvements in a number of significant fore
operations.
- His
commitment and wise counsel has been an inspiration to many volunteers.
