 CEDRIC CHARLES BANFIELD

 

 

Cedric Charles Banfield joined the Ulverstone Fire Brigade on the 21st December 1956 as a volunteer firefighter.

 

On the 17th September 1985 he was promoted to the position Third Officer of the Brigade which he held for 11 years. He was appointed to his current position of Second Officer 1st November 1966.

 

Additionally he has held the position of Training Officer with the Ulverstone Fire Brigade for the past seven years.

 

Throughout his 43 years of voluntary service to Ulverstone Fire Brigade and the Ulverstone community he has displayed good leadership and his input through operational, training and social activities he has been inspirational to his fellow firefighters.

 

He was awarded the National Medal in 1971 and bar to the National Medal for 25 years service in 1983.
