Wayne Brown
He has served in a number of positions in the
Tasmania Fire Service over his career in both training and operational
positions where he has gained wide experience.
Michael has made considerable contributions in every position he has
held. Two of is most notable recent
achievements have been in the introduction of personal protective clothing
systems and overseeing the Tasmania Fire Service capability to undertake urban
search and rescue.
He is currently the Brigade Chief of Launceston Fire
Brigade, a position he has held since 1995.
He is a valued member of the Executive Management Team and is the Chair
of a number of standing committees.
He was awarded the National Medal in 1992 and the
Clasp to the Medal in 2002.
